Northland Challenge

Northland Area Federal Credit Union and the Thunder Bay River Center present the Third Annual Northland Challenge! This year promises an expanded array of activities for the community, with competitive kayak races as the main attraction, alongside a variety of family-friendly events. The kayak races return with a thrilling new format, featuring two divisions: Sport and Recreational. Both races will set off from Alpena Duck Park, located at 1510 W Chisholm St., Alpena, MI 49707. The Sport Division race kicks off at 9:00 AM, followed by the Recreational Division at 9:15 AM. Prizes for the Sport Division start at $1000, while the Recreational Division offers prizes starting at $500. Participants can register for the kayak races at northlandcu.com/northlandchallenge. Early registration is set at $25, while day-of registration is $35. A discounted rate of $20 is available for BAC Members, First Responders, Healthcare Workers, Veterans, and Linemen. Beyond the exhilarating kayak races, the Northland Challenge will feature an Arts & Craft Show, Doggy Derby, Food Trucks, Face Painting, and more.
